Music Video - My Life Would Suck Without Chu

The Event:
Chu's birthday

The Output:
A music video of the song "My Life Would Suck Without You" as performed by Glee cast. Gelle videotaped Cate, Tyne and me as we lip-synched and danced on my bed and outside our flat. I pieced all the footage and some pics of Chu together with the music using iMovie.

My Role:
Conceptualizer
Actress
Video Editor

Music Video - Haven't Met You Yet

The Event:
Tatsie's birthday

The Output:
A music video of Michael Buble's Haven't Met You Yet, her future boyfriend's song for her. Ervyn played the part of the future boyfriend. We copied some portions of the actual music video, including the location, which is a grocery store. We also shot some scenes in the library and all over Ang Mo Kio. I used iMovie to edit it, as usual. Watch out for the ending, it's a winner.

My Role:
Conceptualizer
Actress

Music Video - Jump!

Th Event:
Ervyn's birthday

The Output:
I got the idea of using my favorite TV show Glee's song "Jump" as the background song for all of Ervyn's jump shots, which he has a lot of. We shot some videos of us singing and jumping in the couple of hours he was gone for mass and I quickly put this video together using iMovie in between cooking spaghetti and getting dressed for that night's Christmas party.

My Role:
Conceptualizer
Actress
Video Editor

Music Video - That's Our Goal

The Event:
Tyne's birthday

The Output:
First we recorded our voices singing our revised version of Shayne Ward's "That's Our Goal" then we mounted my camera on one of the pipes near the ceiling (thanks to my wonderful spider tripod, my best investment ever) and got a long shot of us dancing and lip-synching to our own recording. Then I imported everything to iMovie, detached the audio of the first recording, then overlapped it with the second video. Then I cut up the video into several parts and edited the Ken Burns to make the footage zoom in, out, sideways, etc.

My Role:
Lyricist
Singer
Video editor

That's Our Goal

You know where we come from (Zamboanga)
You know our story
You know why were standing here
Tonight
Please don't laugh
Although we look funny
Were here for you
Just sit tight

Well we know weve acted foolish
But we promise you theres more
We've finally found that something
Worth performing for

We are here to say we love you
We are here to say we care
Were here to say were ready
That we've finally thought of you
We're not here to let your love go
Were not giving up, dear Tyne
Were here to greet you happy birthday
That's our goal

Please don't cry
We know were funny
We can't eat without you
Drink without you
Sing without you

Well I know weve acted foolish
But we promise you theres more
Theres more

Horror Comedy Short Movie: Terror at the Park

Cate, Ervyn and I were jogging in Ang Mo Kio Park when the forest inspired us to make an impromptu movie ala Blair Witch. Impromptu meaning there wasn't even a script, we just rolled the camera and started running and screaming all over the place. Once we got home, that's when we thought about how to piece all the separate footages into one film. I used iMovie to edit it and got the music from Youtube.

Hoy hoy, Romi
Naaalala mo pa ba
Nong tayo'y nagsasama?
Hoy hoy, Rosa
Naaalala mo pa ba
Ang iyong mga sinabi nung POT ko’y mababa ?

Sabi mo, "lahat ng problema'y kayang lampasan,
Basta't tayo'y magkasama, at nag-pipicturan!"

Hoy hoy, Roma
Naaalala mo pa ba
Nung nagdouble payment tayo kasi tatanga-tanga (TANGA!)
Hoy hoy, Pepita
Naaalala mo pa ba
Nung ako’y napagalitan ng contact ko from Korea?

Mangiyak-ngiyak na'ko pero sabi mo ay "Okay lang yan!
Basta't tayo'y nagsasama, at nag-kakantahan!"

Kaya naman ako bilib sa iyo
Kasi parang napakacool mo.
Lahat ng problema ay kaya mong tawanan
Basta't mayroong kabarkada at may Thom Sumagang!

(Instruments playing)

Hoy hoy, Rolie
Naaalala mo pa ba
Nung araw na nagbabye ako from P&G?
Hoy hoy, Rosie
Naaalala mo pa ba
Nung ika'y yumakap sa'kin at tayo’y umiiyak...

Tapos pagkatapos no'n, kay tagal kong nawala.

Hoy Roma Rosa Pepita
Hoy Romilie Rosalie Ronalie

Hoy hoy, Mylene
Wag ever malimutan ang iyong mga sinabi nong ika’y nasa P&G pa

You had the right job
At the wrong time
Guess we always knew inside
We wouldn't have you for a long time

Those dreams of yours
Are shining in chocolate stores
And if they're calling you away
We have no right to make you stay

But somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter when
But somewhere down the road
We know that heart of yours
will come to see
That you belong with AP

Sometimes goodbyes are not forever
It doesn't matter if you're gone
We still believe in us together
We understand more than you think we can
You have to go out on your own
So you can find your way back home (to India)

And somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter when
But somewhere down the road
I know that heart of yours
will come to see
That you belong with AP
Letting go is just another way to say
We'll always love you so

You had the right job
At the wrong time
Maybe we've only just begun
Maybe the best is yet to come

Cause somewhere down the road
Our roads are gonna cross again
It doesn't really matter when
But somewhere down the road
I know that heart of yours
will come to see
That you belong
With AP
